If your a fan (or not) of photography you should check out MSNBC's week in picture series. For those that don't know it's a collection of the best photographs from around the world for the top news events from a given week. Click on the photo to see shots from this week (which are amazing but typical for the series).

As a photo hobbyist I am blown away by the quality of these weekly shots. The stories told through one photo are truly amazing.

Here is a writeup about the series along with a video from the two editors who started the project. Finally, as a sidenote the creator, Brian Storm is a visiting professor at ASU this year.  We are lucky to have such innovative faculty educating our journalism students.
